Maker’s Monday: Curious Timbers

It’s Monday again and that means another Maker’s Monday here on House Fenway! Every Monday I feature a small business and/or artist, their wares and a little bit about them. It has always been a fun experience meeting other makers and enjoying their creations and I want to share that all with you. The time and talent that goes into each products made by a small business or artist far out ways anything you could purchase from a big box retailer. This week’s maker is a newbie to the community, opening up on Etsy this Summer.

Friday Favorite: Whatever Is Lovely Hand-Painted Signs

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a #FridayFavorite. The holidays always throw me for a loop, but now hopefully, I’m back on track! I’m so excited to share this new favorite with you. I just received a custom wood sign from a brand new Etsy shop, Whatever Is Lovely. Owned by Jordyn Elliott, this Texas-based shop specializes in custom wood signs of all kinds. Every sign is made with love with each sign stained, painted and hand-lettered.

“Lasso the Moon”, is mine and my husbands saying. It has always been special to us. The meaning is pretty simple, we’d do anything for each other, even if it meant we had to lasso the moon. Of course, one of our favorite movies of all time is “It’s A Wonderful Life”, which the saying originated. It was only fitting to have a sign made with this saying to hang above our bed. It is truly special and extra sentimental. I was so happy Jordyn could create it for me!
