It’s May! My favorite month of the year. Well, it’s my birthday month …so of course it’s my favorite! This month, I’ve created a calendar set with one of my favorite springtime flowers, Lilly of the Valley. At my childhood home, we always had a large patch that would pop up every May. These little pretties take me back. Enjoy these dainty little flowers and have a wonderful May! ~M
There is something that is so relaxing and grounding about lighting a candle. The calm flicker of the flame, the pleasant scent, the sound of it’s crackle —a candle can transform your surroundings. I’ve made candle lighting an evening ritual. After a busy day at work and running around with the kids, it’s a great way to realign myself for a decent nights sleep and let go of the daily stresses.
I’ve found a great line of candles from MNK Candle, which I’ve completely fell in love with. MNK Candle, owned by Megan Kenney, specializes in small batch artisan soy candles. Megan offers a well-rounded candle line with a wide variety of candle scents from an apothecary candles to a traditional mason jar line. There are scents for those who love sweet and flowery and scents for those who are into deep and savory.
I’ve completely fell in love with one of her seasonal Spring scents, Into the Woods. The scent is hard to describe, but complete heaven. It is a mix of sweet wisteria, earthy red wood forest, moss, sandalwood; rounded out sweet amber creating a scent that is both moody and feminine.
Megan works hard to develop and create unique scent profiles for each season. It’s always fun to see what the next season will bring. This year’s Spring collection include: Honeysuckle, Magnolia, Clean Cotton, Into the Woods and April Fresh. Hurry and check these out! Since they are created in small batches, you have to snatch them up before they’re gone. To check out MNK Candle’s complete offering visit them here.
This month it’s all about Sweet Peas, April’s official flower. Voted on by my followers on Instagram, it’s the perfect choice for this month. They’re soft, delicate and absolutely beautiful! Refresh your space and download this months free calendar download. Enjoy! ~M
